They include topics such as counseling theories, strategies and skills, personality theories, contemporary consciousness teachings, theories and practice of meditation, eastern and western strategies for transformation, cross-cultural counseling, and legal issues in counseling. Common elective courses include art and spirituality, conscious living, conscious relationships, death and dying, grief and loss, ecopsychology as well as hypnotherapy, human sexuality and gestalt therapy.

Careers in Transpersonal Psychology

With this degree you could work in academics, focusing on teaching, research or both. You could also work as a part-time faculty member as well as perform counseling and advisor work. Graduates of transpersonal psychology programs run community healing programs, staffing in hospice facilities, provide communication training to schools and business as well as higher education administration and business coaching.

With this degree you could embark on a career in a number of different areas such as education, business, social service, health care and community development.
